Context,,,.

This is a photograph of a Sundanese child
              dying of starvation.
It was taken in 1993 by Kevin Carter, a
              South African free-lance photographer.
The image appeared on the front pages
of major newspapers throughout the world.
In 1994, the dying child won the Pulitzer
              Prize for Feature Photography.
That same year, Carter taped one end of a
hose to the exhaust of his pickup truck and
inserted the other end through  the driver's side
               window.
Carter was 33 years old when he died.
                         He left the following note:
"I'm really, really sorry. The pain of life
over-rides the joy to the point that joy does not                                   exist.
"I am haunted by the vivid memories of
killings and corpses and anger and pain ... of
starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy                                 madmen, often police, of killer executioners..
